Common questions

Do I need to give customers a new number or email address?

Yes, for text — you'll get a dedicated business number during setup, and customers text that instead of your personal cell. For email, you keep using the inbox you already have; you just add a forwarding rule. Nothing about your existing number or inbox changes.

Does this replace my personal phone?

For texts and photos, no — they still reach your personal phone instantly, exactly like they do now. Tradrux reads a copy in the background — it doesn't intercept or redirect anything.

For calls, it works a little differently: every call to your business number is answered by Tradrux and captured as a voicemail, not rung through to your phone. The moment someone calls, you get a text letting you know who's calling and that they're leaving a message. Once they're done, you get a second text with the transcript — so you're never digging through a voicemail inbox or replaying a message to catch a phone number. Calling back is just as easy, you're just doing it on your own time instead of dropping what you're doing mid-job to answer.

Why doesn't my business number just ring through to my phone?

Two reasons. First, it keeps things simple and predictable — every call gets handled the same way, transcribed, and put straight into your inbox with everything else. Second, it keeps the service free of surprise costs — live calls are billed differently than texts and voicemails, so keeping it voicemail-only during early access means there's never a surprise on that front. Live call forwarding is on the roadmap as an optional add-on down the line, for anyone who wants their business number to ring through directly.

How long does setup actually take?

Most of it is two steps: add a forward rule to your inbox, and pick a business number. Both together take under 5 minutes.

How does a lead actually become a quote, and a quote become a job?

When a message comes in, it's read automatically — job type suggested, scope summarised, gaps flagged. You confirm it's real, and a record is created. Everything that touches that customer from then on links to that record automatically. When you're ready to quote, the draft is already pre-filled. Review, adjust, send. Customer says yes — mark it won, it becomes a job. The full history stays attached.

Can someone else on my team handle quotes or site visits?

Yes. If you're working solo, everything defaults to you automatically — no extra setup. The moment you add a second person handling sales or visits, Tradrux starts suggesting who should take the next one and shows you their schedule, so nothing gets double-booked or forgotten.

Will my customers know they're talking to AI?

No — and they shouldn't notice anything different at all. Customers text or call your number the same way they always would. Tradrux works in the background; nothing about their experience changes.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is kept for 30 days after cancellation in case you want to come back, then permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion any time by contacting support.

Is my customers' information safe?

Yes — data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every account's data is isolated from every other account. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Does Tradrux use my data to train AI?

No. Your communications are processed to provide the triage service to you — they are never used to train AI models.

What if AI gets something wrong?

You confirm or reassign anything Tradrux files — nothing is final until you act on it. Low-confidence items land in a review folder instead of being auto-filed.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, from your account settings, any time. No long-term contract.

Do you offer refunds?

No — all fees are non-refundable, including partial months or unused credits. That's why there's a full 14-day free trial first: you get a real test before any card is charged. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you're never billed.
